In a place like Indonesia and where education is often out of reach by thousands of impoverished children, there are some schools that helps children to get a proper schooling despite their lack of money and means.
Children of Bali is a charity based institution that is located in United Kingdom and they help children in Bali (Republic of Indonesia) to help young children complete their education all the way from junior, to senior school, or perhaps beyond university education too. Children of Bali support kids with their school needs like pens, books, uniforms and other essential things that they need. Every donation goes out to helping the children with their support and financial aid.
The Australian International School Indonesia (AIS) has a reputation for a world-class education from Kindergarten to year 12 students. The schools institutions are based in Jakarta, Bali and Balikpapan, AIS stays at the forefront of education because of the school's commitment to excellence.
There are certain areas in Indonesia that needs developing and there are many things that AIS community is always focus on and that is treating family as the core for their community, and making AIS as their extended family with teachers, students, parents and alumni students.
Officially, state schools are free in Indonesia, a nation of 226 million people where millions live on less than $2 a day. Sri Rossyati, teacher from Jakarta's Kota District said," "For some of these kids, this is their only meal of the day. And if they can't eat, they can't learn'. And his students age range from five to 18 years old;.
He even said," They may be poor but they needn't be ignorant."
"Parents also have to pay for shoes, writing materials and transport," said Pujiawati, an education campaigner at Indonesian non-governmental organization, Voice of Concerned Mothers.
And so the state schools are just right for the children and thereby it brings a certain hope for them.
