New routes on Bali
07/27/2010

In line with the report and travel news in Bali Indonesia stated that there have been new changes on the Bali administration. The Bali administration will overhaul its putrefying public transportation scheme by means of November by launching three new bus routes which will be serving by 25 in recent times get hold of air-conditioned buses.

The travel changes are part of the administration’s long term agenda to launch its ”Sarbagita” incorporated public transportation system. Sarbagita - an acronym for the cities of Denpasar, Badung, Gianyar and Tabanan will be encompassed of numerous routes that will be served by a lot of dissimilar types of vehicles connecting the cities.

”This is Sarbagita’s initial stage,” Bali Transportation Agency chief I Made Santha said Friday, referring to the new bus routes. According to the report the first course will begin in Puputan Badung square in downtown Denpasar and will join the city with Nusa Dua, Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) cultural park and Udayana University campus in Jimbaran.

“We have built 56 bus stops along those routes. We have yet to decide on a fare. It is likely that the administration will subsidize bus fares so tickets will not be too expensive for the general public.” Bali Transportation Agency chief I Made Santha added.

The budget is said to be amounting up to Rp 300 million (US$33,300) to finance operation of the routes for the three months process.
