New Hotel Opening and 60 More Planned In Bali This 2012

Not only do villas in Bali beset the Bali accommodation scene, but so do Bali hotels as more than 60 hotels, ranging from budget class to charm and luxury boutiques, are soon to be built across the archipelago in 2012. This is so as hotel chains gear up to benefit from the surge in the number of business and leisure travelers.
Kompas Gramedia's Santika Group, one major local hotel chain, is among those that are set to open more than 20 hotels this year, with half of them at budget rates under the brand Amaris.
According to Santika Group corporate public relations manager, Vivi Herlambang, because people for the past few years have been traveling a lot for business purposes, the budget hotel business is booming now.

Herlambang revealed that Santika will launch as many as 14 Amaris Hotels in Jakarta, Bali, Tangerang and one in Singapore.
For the four-star and five-star classifications — under the brand The Santika Hotel and Santika Premiere, respectively, there will be 9 new hotels in Bali that will start operations this year. These new hotels will be located in Taman Mini, Jakarta; Mataram, Lombok; Medan, North Sumatra; Nusa Dua, Bali, and Depok, West Java.
Herlambang further revealed that the Santika Group will be going to launch The Santika Premiere and Conventions in Medan next month.
The Santika Group currently operates 41 hotels – 17 Amaris, 14 Santika Hotels, seven Santika Premiere and three luxury resorts and villas in Bali under the brand the Royal Collection, which are The Samaya Seminyak, The Samaya Ubud and The Kanaya Seminyak.
Meanwhile, Aston International, another strong player in the country, is also set to open 23 hotels ranging from the two-star hotels to five-star resorts nationwide, as revealed by its corporate marketing communications manager, Febri Anindita.
Febri revealed that they are going to open some 15 of 23 hotels that are suitable for budget travelers. Currently, Aston has three budget brands, namely Fave; a concept for a two-star hotel, Neo; a concept for a two star plus hotel, and the three-star hotel Quest. These three brands will start operations in Surakarta, Central Java; Tuban, East Java, Seminyak and Kuta, Bali, among others.
Febri further stated that they had developd the concept of affordable accommodations five years ago, but were only able to provide such accommodations two years ago.
Aston International currently operates two Quest Hotels in Semarang, Central Java, and Kuta, Bali, and five Fave Hotel in Surabaya, East Java; Jakarta; Surakarta, Central Java; Seminyak, Bali; and Denpasar, Bali.
On the other hand, Centra Taum Seminyak Bali, located at Seminyak, one of Bali's best known leisure and nightlife areas and is within five minutes' stroll of the beach, has just welcomed its first guests as they check into the resort.
Centra Taum is a resort with a total of 90 Studios, Duplex Suites, Family Suites, and Pool Suites, with several units offering private plunge pools. It offers affordable hotels and resorts that provide a quality experience designed to exceed expectations but not over-deliver to the point not required by guests.
