Strong AU Dollar Triggers More Travelers To Bali From Australia
12/21/2011
Despite the different troubles Australians have been in while in Bali, more and more Australians are spending their holidays in this island paradise to experience the holiday villas as well as Bali tourism. As a result, more budget airlines are adding more Bali flights to cater to Australians who are taking advantage of the strong Aussie dollar.

Among these airlines are Virgin Australia that added 40,000 extra seats for December and January and Jetstar with 28,000 seats more until the end of January.
Added to Jetstar's Melbourne-Bali route are three extra services weekly. Another two will also be added to the Sydney-Bali and Sydney-Honolulu routes. For Sydney-Phuket and Melbourne-Bangkok will be added one flight weekly. All these extra flights will operate between December 23 and January 31.
"Australians are continuing to travel overseas in record numbers and industry estimates suggest this will grow by 11 per cent to 4.7 million this calendar year," said Jetstar Australia and New Zealand CEO, David Hall.
"We are seeing strong increases in demand to Indonesia, Hawaii and Thailand, which are now the second, third and fourth most popular international destinations for Australians respectively," he added.
As for Virgin Australia, Bali flights added include those from Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth, and Sydney. From last year's 21 flights per week, there are now 30 flights per week this year.
These Australians have surely been attracted to the many sites to see in Bali including the beautiful villas for rent which are a must see for Bali travel. Apart from these, Bali tourism is also a come-on like the different resorts, golf courses, beaches, and temples.
